MINI HIPSTERS

5 BELTS EVERY GIRL SHOULD OWN

A belt is a must have piece in your closet not just for tying your loose pants but also to make a fashion statement.. Not only can the right belt accentuate your body's natural curves, but this simple addition has the power to turn a little black dress into a fabulously decorated canvas. Ready to step up your belt collection, but not sure which styles to invest in?  i have gathered here 5 belts every girl should own: ENJOY!!!

SKINNY NEON BELTS

CLASSIC BELTS

This belt is a no brainer. Every girl should possess a classic black and brown belt. Whether you pair it with casual denim or career trousers, this belt is an accessory staple. This is also the best investment piece when it comes to belts, so don’t feel guilty for spending a little extra when adding this classic piece to your wardrobe.

BRAIDED/WOVEN BELTS

A cornerstone of preppy style, a braided belt is an unexpected way to add texture to an outfit. You’ll be occupied for hours holding its elegant woven strands against every fabric in your closet. The best part? It goes with essentially everything!

METALLIC BELTS

One of the most fool-proof ways to draw attention to something is by making it metallic. So consider a shiny belt an eye magnet to your tiny waist. A metal chain of oversize coins is forever gypsy-chic and adds a rustic feel to girly pieces.

WIDE BELTS

A simple yet powerful wide belt is best showcased when placed on empire waist dresses or for creating shape when wearing a shift dress. The extra size makes it ideal for taming bulkier pieces like a cargo jacket. Invest in a wide belt and you’re sure to have unlimited styling options. To add an extra dash of style, layer this belt over a chunky faux fur vest.

OTHERS INCLUDE THE SCARD: We know- scarf is not the first word you think of when compiling a list of essential belts. But, wrapping a silky piece of fabric around your waist simultaneously adds fluidity and structure to your look that a notched number just can’t compete with.

CURRENTLY CRAVING: POINTED TOE HEELS

MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR LIP SHAPE

Knowing which lip shapes apply to your smile helps you choose the best makeup products for your lips. Check out the different types of lip shapes and find out how you can color and enhance them for the sexiest look.Whether you use lip liner or not, knowing what looks best on the different lip shapes allows you to complete your look in the most flattering way.

ASSYMETRICAL LIPS

For uneven lips, you can mix matte and glossy lipsticks to enhance or reduce the asymmetrical parts or even blend lighter and darker tones to get the right look. Stay away from vivid shades and try to enhance your eyes with makeup to draw attention from your lips.

LARGE LIPS

If you go for a shinny or shimmery look, your large lips can become a dominating feature, in a less than flattering way. Stay well within the natural borders of your lips and choose softer colors with a matte finish.

BOTTOM HEAVY LIPS

Use a tiny dot of white and blend it well on your upper lip to bring balance to bottom heavy lips. Alternatively, you can try combining two very similar shades, with the lighter one on your top lip to enhance it.

TOP HEAVY LIPS

Get the best look using two very similar shades: the darker on your top lip and the lighter on your lower lip. If you want to stick to the exact same color, you can blend a small dot of white at the center of your lower lip to give them both a more even look.

THIN LIPS

Darker shades of lipstick tend to make thin lips look even smaller, so your best bet involves a brighter shade. You can use a lip liner, in a shade slightly darker, but in the same family as your base color. Gently outline just outside that natural shape. If you want to give you lips a more plump look, use frosted colors.

Now you know what lipstick fits your lip shape.....xoxo Pontiac!!
